Umpiring |
| 1. |
Arrive at park 15 minutes prior to game time.
If you are going to be later that 15 minutes prior to game time -
call the park to let the manager on duty know! |
| 2. |
Review your evenings game assignments - IE:
league specifics, home run limits, rules & regulations. |
| 3. |
Secure controls for scoreboards and take to
field and set up. |
| 4. |
Take the appropriate game ball to the field.

| 5. |
Be on the field 5 minutes prior
to game time to cover ground rules with teams. Be sure to instruct
teams to 'hustle' on and off the field in order to keep games on
time. |
| 6. |
Make sure teams have complete
their line-up cards with players FIRST & LAST NAMES. |
| 7. |
Following your game or games:
return the line-up cards to the office - stapling the winning teams
card on top. Make sure scores are correct! |
| 8. |
At the conclusion of your
assignment, (league play specifically,) bring in the controls
for the scoreboards and put them away with cords wrapped neatly
around them. |
| 9. |
If you took any drink cups or
softball wrappers to the field, make sure you dispose of them upon
exiting the field. Do not leave your trash on the field or in the
control boxes! |

procedures has an affect on your evenings game bonus! They
will be deducted from your pay if not completed! |
